The Business of “Doing” Science podcast team is excited to announce our first-ever Science Social Hour! During these types of episodes, we will discuss hot topics in science and related careers, often inviting experts to join in on our discussion.
In our first social hour episode, we discuss Artificial Intelligence or AI–a topic we have heard about quite a bit since the recent advances in generative AI tools, such as the release of ChatGPT last year. We are thrilled to welcome back Jesus Martinez Manso along with a new guest, AI expert Arash Maghsoudi, to join in on the conversation.
Arash Maghsoudi, PhD, is a biomedical engineer and a Postdoctoral Associate in the Artificial Intelligence in Health Lab at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) and Center for Innovations, Quality, Effectiveness & Safety (IQuESt). He specializes in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and their application in the management and processing of medical data.
His top skills include designing novel artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms and software implementation, deep learning, and medical big data/signal/image management and processing.
